PsychDraft (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides AI-assisted drafting software designed to support licensed clinicians and mental health professionals in clinical documentation workflows. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and handle information when you use our website and platform.

PsychDraft is built with a deep understanding of the privacy-sensitive nature of clinical practice. Our platform is architected around privacy-conscious workflows, secure cloud infrastructure, and clinician-directed review to ensure you maintain full oversight of your documentation at all times.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and professional licensure information to verify eligibility for use of the platform.

Payment Information

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. PsychDraft does not store full credit card information on our servers.

Usage Data

We collect limited operational and diagnostic information (such as feature interactions, error reporting, and performance metrics) to maintain system reliability, security, and platform performance. We do not use clinical drafting content for analytics.

2. Clinical Data Handling

  • Ownership: Clinicians retain ownership and responsibility for clinical documentation entered into or generated through PsychDraft.
  • HIPAA-Conscious Design: PsychDraft is designed to support HIPAA-compliant clinical workflows using privacy-conscious infrastructure and secure cloud services.
  • De-Identification: Clinicians may choose to minimize direct identifiers when appropriate for their workflow and organizational policies.
  • AI Model Training: PsychDraft does not use user-submitted clinical content or generated drafts to train public artificial intelligence models.
  • Encryption: Data is encrypted during transmission (TLS) and protected at rest through our infrastructure providers.
  • Clinical Responsibility: Clinicians remain responsible for ensuring appropriate use consistent with their organization's policies, applicable laws, and professional obligations.
  • Non-Medical Disclaimer: PsychDraft is a documentation support tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

3. AI Processing & Infrastructure

PsychDraft uses artificial intelligence to assist with clinical drafting and documentation organization.

Production AI processing is routed through secure API-based infrastructure designed for privacy-sensitive healthcare workflows, including Amazon Bedrock under an active AWS Business Associate Addendum (BAA).

PsychDraft does not rely on public consumer chat interfaces for production report generation.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

PsychDraft relies on trusted service providers to securely operate the platform, including:

  • Secure application hosting and cloud infrastructure
  • Authentication and account management services
  • AI processing infrastructure for drafting assistance
  • Secure payment processing (Stripe)

Where appropriate, service providers handling sensitive information operate under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, including Business Associate Agreements (BAAs).

5. Data Retention

  • PsychDraft is designed to minimize unnecessary retention of clinical drafting content. Temporary workflow context may be cleared when sessions end unless explicitly saved by the clinician.
  • We retain account data for as long as your account remains active.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@psychdraft.com.
  • Certain transactional or billing records may be retained as required by law.

6. Data Security

PsychDraft uses encrypted cloud infrastructure and technical safeguards designed to protect information during transmission and storage. We implement organizational and technical measures intended to reduce unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse of information.

However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Who Can Use PsychDraft

PsychDraft is intended for licensed clinicians, supervised trainees, and authorized mental health professionals using the platform in accordance with applicable legal, ethical, and professional requirements. The platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age.
